Weekly Wrapup Meme #2

Oct 4, 2009 MeMe

It’s time for this week’s Weekly Wrapup MeMe. Let’s see what I have been up to…

Up to this past week, what milestones have you celebrated in your life (college, marriage, career, birthdays, parenthood, etc)?

I’m not aware of any personal milestones… maybe not smothering my husband with a pillow? As far as career, I broke 200,000 page views on my Associated Content articles. I also have a #1 Google search result for several articles, one very well paying one on Bukisa. That particular article has made me over $200, and is also helping out my friend Tammy who referred me to  Bukisa.

Parenthood milestones happen in this house daily. Kody is a talking machine. The other day he was yelling “Yeehaw!”, because he saw it on Sesame Street!

Do you feel as though you are on track with your peers, ahead or behind?

I have always been ahead of my peers, especially those living in this small town. A lot of people here are happy not doing anything with their lives, and I’m very driven.

Do you work toward milestones or just let them come?

I started setting writing goals, just to help myself stay on track and getting closer to reaching  the ultimate career goals. But I usually just throw shit and see where it sticks!

Will you soon be coming across any milestones?

Our wedding anniversary! I’m very excited and looking forward to sharing an amazing day with my husband.

Weekly Wrapup Meme #1

Sep 27, 2009 MeMe

I am participating in Weekly Wrapup MeMe. A new post will be created every Saturday, with this cute end-of-the-week meme.

In the past week, have your contemplated your purpose or other deep, meaningful thoughts?
I like to think of myself as a thinker, heh. I’ve had a lot of time to think about my purpose, the need to do better, improve at work and do whatever necessary to help out my family. My husband’s job situation has me half way to Crazy Town.

Do you think you have a purpose? Do you want to have one?
I have found my purpose in being a mother and a nurturer. I also always have the need to establish independence and personal identity. I am not just a mommy, there is a lot more here to see.

Do you ever think about the meaning of life, the universe and everything (beyond yourself)?
Of course. It’s normal to think about what is out there, why we are all here or what we are supposed to do. I’d love to become a better person and get in touch with my spiritual side.

How do you deal with the questions that have no answer?
Think about it and walk away. Some things are more interesting when they are mysterious.
