Walking Manhattan Food Tours

Date: Sep 24, 2009      Category: Writing Nook

My best friend and I used to go on weekend trips to New York. She had dance classes, I’d tag along and sometimes even to join in on a dance lesson for free. We were two young kids though, with her bat-shit-crazy dance teacher as our only adult chaperon. We would often sneak out of the Beacon Hotel and run around New York City. I’d go insane if my child ever ran around a major US city like that, but we thought it was fun to visit shops and restaurants on our own.

I remember going to Nikos, a Greek restaurant, where I had the best moussaka. I’m afraid to admit that it was better than my mother’s moussaka! My next visit I will be checkout out walking tours new york, where a real New Yorker takes tourist around the city for the best sightseeing. It’s a tour focused on food, visiting the best shops, landmark icons and eating at some of the famous New York eateries. I would also love to visit Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral in SoHo again.
